How the math works, and where the numbers come from

Formula. Content fee = average views (or opens) ÷ 1,000 × CPM × niche factor × size factor × deliverable factor × quantity. If that is below your production floor (hours × hourly rate × quantity), the floor wins. Add-ons (usage, whitelisting, exclusivity, rush) are then added as a percentage of the content fee. Low / fair / premium use the low / mid / high end of each CPM range. The counteroffer sits halfway between fair and premium, so you have room to "meet in the middle" and still land at fair or above.

Every number below is an estimate. There is no official price list for creator sponsorships. The presets are built from public ranges published by agencies, platforms and creator tools (listed here), rounded and blended. Treat the output as a starting point for a negotiation, not a fact about what a brand will pay. Benchmarks are in USD. Last verified: October 2026.

  1. YouTube integration CPM of roughly $20–$50 per 1,000 views; dedicated videos ~2.5–3× an integration; Shorts ~0.3–0.5×. Social Video Plaza, "YouTube brand sponsorships" guide (socialvideoplaza.com).
  2. YouTube sponsorship CPM falls as views rise: ~$50–$100 at 5k–15k views, $30–$50 at 15k–50k, ~$25 at 50k–250k, $10–$15 at 250k–750k. Adopter Media (adopter.media/youtube-sponsorship-rates). This is the source of the "size factor".
  3. YouTube "general range $30–$70 per 1,000 views"; dedicated videos priced well above integrations. Descript blog, "How much should you charge for a YouTube sponsorship".
  4. Instagram Reels sponsored content ~$15–$35 CPM; TikTok integrated mentions ~$15–$40 CPM, dedicated ~$25–$60 CPM. Aggregated 2026 benchmarks from iqfluence.io and influencerfee.com CPM explainers.
  5. Newsletter sponsorships: cost per 1,000 opens roughly $20–$100+; cross-industry median ~$32 per 1,000 subscribers; SaaS/AI ~$92, finance ~$85, marketing ~$48, lifestyle ~$22 per 1,000 subscribers. Dupple "Newsletter CPM explained" and "CPM benchmarks for B2B newsletters" (dupple.com). Note: Dupple sells newsletter ads.
  6. LinkedIn creator CPM ~$10–$20 general, $20–$40 marketing/HR, $40–$60 finance, $60–$120 tech/AI/SaaS; most sponsored B2B posts $200–$2,000. Favikon B2B influencer pricing guide 2026; ContentGrip "LinkedIn influencer pricing in 2026".
  7. Usage rights ~15% of the base per 30 days of organic reuse, paid amplification ~25%, exclusivity ~10% (Justin Moore / Creator Wizard, quoted by Lumanu). Whitelisting commonly +20–50% for 30 days, a 90-day exclusive whitelist 2–3× the post fee; exclusivity +25–50% (TopGrowth Marketing, Elev8or, Lumanu).
  8. X (Twitter): no reliable public benchmark for sponsored creator posts was found. The X preset is a low-confidence estimate. Use your own CPM override if you have past deals.
  9. Rush fee and story-set factors are the author's working conventions, not published benchmarks.
